Message from National Highways Limited:

We're replacing steel parapets, waterproofing, and expansion joints on both bridges.

Inspections found serious corrosion, worn waterproofing, and ageing joints causing noise for nearby residents.

To undertake the works safely there will be a series of weekend closures.

Please note during these closures there will be no access for emergency services.

Closure dates and times are as follows.

Eastbound weekend closure 1

  • 9:00pm on Saturday 5 September to 6:00am on Monday 7 September.

Eastbound weekend closure 2

  • 9:00pm on Friday 11 September to 6:00am on Monday 14 September.

Westbound weekend closure 1

  • 9:00pm on Saturday 26 September to 6:00am on Monday 28 September.

Westbound weekend closure 2

  • 9:00pm on Friday 9 October to 6:00am on Monday 12 October.

Diversion routes will vary depending on the phase of works during each closure.
